Homenra DAVx⁵ Privacy Policy

When you enter your login information (DAV server URL, username, password) in Homenra DAVx⁵ – Calendar+ CalDAV, these details are used only to connect and synchronize with the server you specify, including any redirects provided by that server.

  • Storage of Credentials: Your username and password are stored securely by Android’s account manager, not by Homenra DAVx⁵ itself. Client certificates are stored in Android’s secure keystore and are not readable by the app. To further protect your login data, we recommend encrypting your device.

  • Contacts, Events, and Tasks: Data such as contacts, calendar events, and tasks remain stored on your Android device via the native content providers. Homenra DAVx⁵ only uses these to synchronize with the specified CalDAV/CardDAV service. Other apps on your device, including contact or calendar apps and Android backups, may access or transfer this data according to their own policies.

  • No Additional Data Collection: Apart from synchronizing address books, calendars, and task lists, Homenra DAVx⁵ does not collect, process, or transmit personal or statistical data such as app usage or server usage. There is no tracking and no advertising.¹

  • Location Permissions: You may be prompted to grant coarse or fine location permissions if using the “Sync over WiFi” feature with a specified SSID. This is because the WiFi provider could determine your location based on your network IP. Homenra DAVx⁵ does not access, process, or transmit this data, and does not track your location.

  • GDPR Compliance: Homenra does not collect or process any personal data through DAVx⁵. No personal data is transferred to our servers. The app is provided solely to allow you to manage your own data.

  • Google API Services Compliance: Any information received from Google APIs that is used or transferred to other apps follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including compliance with Limited Use requirements.

¹ Note: App stores (e.g., Google Play, Samsung Galaxy Apps, Amazon Appstore) and other third-party apps (e.g., Twitter) may track app installation and usage independently of Homenra DAVx⁵.
